28 Days later.. (sounds familiar no? Click here) Almost a month since my last post, I can see that my blog a bit "fat mou" (a term for rotting in Cantonese) Alas, I've finally drawn enough strength to get me out of my extreme laziness to freshen up this place. Recalling where I stopped, my year 2008 ended with quite a blast! First off was Christmas Nite 2008 which is an annual musical event held by my uni's Christian Fellowship TECHFLOW, and it was a great success.
The cool poster by our dear Publicity Director, Phoebe!
This time I get to watch the entire production for the 2nd time as a secretary of the event, compared to last year as I was part of the cast (who needs to wait around half a year to see the musical, lol) After the whole 'hoo-hah', I skipped the post-celebrations as due to dead-tiredness (stood for the whole 3 hours of the event, and plenty of walking with chit-chatting can take out a lot from you) =P
And then Christmas came on a Thursday, me and my highschool pals went over to Jia Yee's place for a little gathering (which indirectly celebrates her birthday as it is due in 2 days) Food was home-made, thanks to Jia Yee's culinary skills as she prepared pasta, a great sauce to go with it, pizza and the classic garlic bread (which tasted better than Pizza Hut, seriously)
December was so filled with holidays that I felt like having a real semester break. During New Year's Eve, I managed to successfully planned a gathering for my highschool pals once again (sadly my uni buddies couldn't make it T.T) Booked FOURTEEN tickets for the movie Bedtime Stories at GSC and had a table for 10 at Itallianies. After all the commotion to get everyone due to jams here and there, by God's grace all made it to dinner =D
First time in Itallianies was rather pleasant, though the food wasn't too great as the portions were moderate as we shared everything we ordered due to its pricey-ness. We had a lot servings of their free appetizer breads though, so most of us didn't complain not having enough. When movie time came, I recalled being unable to pay the lump sum when collecting the tickets at the booking counter. Didn't I expect the price to be more than 150 bucks, the cashier had me unprepared with that long stub of tickets.. I quickly resorted to calling one of friends, but ended up the whole gang came to save the day, woots~
Notice Bugsy the hamster?
The only thing that's interesting in this movie is the hamster, plot's rather predictable (happy endings where the protagonists live happily ever after, typical Disney movie ending) Adam Sandler was a tad little funny (I think Rob Schneider can do better than him, just that he doesn't look fatherly). Loved the Ferrari, chick was hot, but didn't feel magical. Probably I'm getting old, sigh..
Timing was great as we had only an hour and a half's time before the fireworks spectacle...
*** To be continued, lol***
