Latest 2008 "Christmas Carol"‏

Dear all,

This is the year 2008's "special" Christmas song!!

**Just for the fun of the current situation the world is facing =P, enjoy!**

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town~

It's hitting you once
It's hitting you twice
It doesn't care if you've been careful and wise
Recession is coming to town~

It's worthless if you've got shares
It's worthless if you've got bonds
It's safe when you've got cash in hand
So keep cash for goodness sake, HEY!

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town~

Finance products are confusing
Finance products are so vague
The banks make you bear the cost of risk
So keep out for goodness sake, OH!

You'd better watch out
You'd better not cry
You'd better keep cash
I'm telling you why:
Recession is coming to town!

~LuLz~

Do enjoy the coming Christmas Day! Hohoho~!

The 99 Club

Taken from a very apt article depicting the rat race that all of us are involved in our daily lives. Please read the following and if you happen to be a member of this "Elite Club", then quit it today itself and give an opportunity to happiness and peace of mind to enter your life. It's truly worth trying. =)

Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious
lifestyle, was neither happy nor content.

One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he
worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the
Land is unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy. The
King asked the servant, 'Why are you so happy?'

The man replied, 'Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies.'

The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought
the advice of his most trusted advisor.

After hearing the King's woes and the servant's' story, the advisor
said, 'Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of the 99 Club.'

'The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?' the King inquired.

The advisor replied, 'Your Majesty, to truly know what the 99 Club is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep.'

When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. Then when he opened
the bag, he let out a great shout of joy, 'So many gold coins!'.

He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced
that there were 99 coins. He wondered, 'What could've happened to that
last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!' He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive. Finally exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.

From that day, the servant's life was changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He stopped singing while he worked.

Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. When he sought his advisor's help, the advisor said, 'Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined the 99 Club..'

He continued, 'The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never contented, because they're always yearning and striving for that extra 1 saying to themselves: 'Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life.'

We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute
we're given something bigger and better, we want even more! We lose our sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a price for our growing needs and desires.

That's the 99 club.

Revival Calls

It's been 3 days since my seemingly quick, 3-week holiday ended and I finally have the heart to update my blog. As I type this post, I hear some weird, creepy wailing of either a tortured animal or some crazed neighbor. And so we have the title above.. =P

I guess one of the main reasons I did not bother posting anything is because nothing much happened since my last update. Well actually there are a few, but just not enough to inspire me lol.. Now for a little flashback of what happened almost a month ago. Hm...

1st week, right after exams, I literally grew wings and fluttered with my buddies to Times Square for some fun. Unfortunately, the theme park experience was really nauseating, I am so bad in handling rides that spins you around like a top and swings your insides out. Then there was Quantum of Solace which proved rather... insignificant as I had even forgotten the plot. Huhu... Guess I compare the new Bond to Pierce Brosnan too much. (But hey, he's IS better!)

I guess there's just no competition here, tsk tsk...

As days passed after I parted with my uni friends, I started to get real lazy at home. But with a little effort, managed to paint part of the wall outside my house. Ironically, the difficulty of this work lies not in the area I have to paint, but mostly in trying to figure out which part of the wall is already covered with a new coat because I'm painting white over a white wall! @_@

My holiday continued with me spending some quality time with my brother over a computer game which we had been playing together (once in a while) since I was 14! Well, the game's good but main reason being it's the only multiplayer game we could enjoy playing with only 1 pc.

I recommend this if you like turn based strategy games and you don't care about graphics..

Then with more slacking and not-doing-anything-useful, it came to the third and final week of holidays. Oh, but before that, I got to catch my first experience of a live drama performance at Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPac). Thanks to Joshua and his friends, it was a well worth show, certainly no regrets =)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love.. Click here for more info! =D

In the beginning of the month I tried looking for a job, but sadly none wanted to hire a 3 week part-timer, sigh... However before my short lived freedom ended, Loreki organised a great mini-lan party at his luxury apartment as a final treat before he flies off to Japan for his holiday. And the good news is that we would have a second one as soon as he's back on the 14th! Daym, now I'm getting anxious! Hehe...

Ah yes, I've also come to love a few more great songs.. So instead of putting the whole song here like I did previously, here's a few videos you can view. If u like them then quickly go download or you could always get them from me =D

Final Fantasy - Gotta Be Somebody (Music by Nickelback) ~ Pity no official music video

Michael Buble' - Crazy Little Thing Called Love ~ Also pity no official music video

Hinder - Without You ~ Emo song sia... But also no official mv T.T

As for this week, lectures kinda just started today and as always I have interesting classes which have lecturers that are more interesting than their lectures. lulz.. Hey, what can be cooler than a cute bear teaching politics and having learn what other wonders a super glue can do in engineering! Hahaha...

Here's some food for thought...

Science may have alleviated the miseries of disease and drudgery and provided an array of gadgetry for our entertainment and convenience, but it has left us in a world without wonder. Our sunsets have been reduced to wavelengths and frequencies. The complexities of the universe have been shredded into mathematical equations... Science proclaims that Planet Earth and its inhabitants are a meaningless speck in the grand scheme. A cosmic accident. Even the technology that promises to unite us, divides us. Each of us is now electronically connected to the globe, yet we feel utterly alone....

It shatters God's world into smaller and smaller pieces in quest of meaning... and all it finds is more questions...

Carmerlengo Carlo Ventresca
(an excerpt from Dan Brown's Angels & Demons)

And I definitely can't wait till this comes to our local cinemas!

So much for now, here's me signing off~

A Series of Not-So-Unfortunate Events

Much has happened since I last posted on what I've been going through. Stress is in the air with finals approaching, and now that my tests have just ended, it's just the beginning of a nightmare. Oh well, at least life wasn't too disappointing. Last week I celebrated my sister's birthday at home and when I arrived home after a torturing 2 hour jam in KL, the day's surprise was already on the table...

Mum's homemade "Pandan Layer Fruit Cake"!

I was like.. lol?.. Then my mum explained that since my sis already had two cakes the day before (that day was her belated birthday), so she came up with something special. Nice try mum! =P

Then on Saturday night I attended the 40th Anniversary Dinner of the Lions Club of KL Central held at the Royale Bintang Hotel, KL (near Times Square).

Stage backdrop..

The event was a success and me and my fellow Leo friends who helped out during the event celebrated together with the organizing Lions. We were treated to some whisky which gave me a total blood rush with my first sip. It was then I realised that I had it "on-the-rock" and the liquor was actually quite strong, making me feel a sudden rush of liquid in my head @_@

What we had during the pre-celebration..

Well I wasn't drunk but was later told that my face was flushed red when we exited the hotel. The night was still young, so me and my Leo friends were then brought to a near by pub/bar named Oasis where we had more liquor, mostly brought by one of the Lions. We talked loads of crap, played some drinking game, sang, had supper, etc.. and I finally reached home at 4am, woots.. So much for an adult hang-out experience I suppose. Then again I enjoyed the night and really thank them for it =)

When I was on my way back to campus, I came across some cute vehicles towing an interesting load as they paraded on the highway unexpectedly.

The Snickers Road Cruisers!

After that episode of unique advertisement, I reached campus and it was all about studying for my last test before the finals. Classes were few but still went on as lecturers tried to wrap up the syllabuses. The gang seemed more tense day by day, ah the sad-ness.. But during one of my classes I stumbled upon what seemed to be like the remnants of student rampage..

Pity the projector head to have suffered this cruel fate..

Due to that, we shifted class and continued lectures as usual. After that I proceeded to one of the hang out places (Techflow room) in my campus for a little revision in preparation for my test. Unfortunately, the disturb-bug got me and I started to.. disturb, hoho.. And here are my victims..

Jo-chan, who's feeling sleepy after lunch ^^"

Panda-san who just wouldn't let me have a proper picture, tsk tsk.. =S (had to use "burst mode" to get one picture that can be used out of ten!)

Studies continued as usual, and when my test was finally over yesterday, I found myself getting back to square one as I had to start preparing for the looming finals (which is next week T.T). So what can I say? I wish there's no exams, hohoho... Oh, how I wish, wish, wish~ Now let's proceed to this much anticipated part!

Randoms~

Yes, I've gotten some pretty cool and blog-worthy pictures along the way.. =D

Look, look! The spirit of Free Hugs still lives on!

Introducing my "si fu" when it comes to being a real man/friend, Yap-dono! And here you are lucky to witness him striking the Rejuvenating Pose! XD

Here is the Japanese Expert of the gang, Rey-sama who apparently was feeling shy so he had to put the shades on while expressing his cool hand gestures ^^

So what happens when everyone is so pressured with exams and feeling all down? Here's a few tips..

We try to comfort each other in anyway we can.. Aw..

Or you can send messages of inspiration/motivation like what I got here from Panda-san.. You're so "sweet"! Hahahahaha...

Or you can unleash your hidden powers by splitting yourself to the amount needed to reduce the stress, like what Alex is doing here! (three heads are better than one rite?)

And you can teach another to do the same just for lulz.. Here we have Ivor(s) trying out the Kage-Bunshin-no-Jutsu (Shadow Clones Technique)!

Or you can just sit on a comfy chair under the air-conditioning and just snooze away~

And last but not least, you can always resort to the easiest way to relieve yourself of troubled feelings or exam anxieties..

Just run to that great friend of yours, and he or she would always know how to make you smile (or LoL in this case) like how William tries to put that smile on your face! =3

As always, that's all for now.. Do enjoy your week and wish me luck for the coming exams.. Cheers and this is KeLv signing off~

I'm Leavin'

Jesse McCartney - Leavin'

Mmmm
Hey baby girl I been watching you all day (all day, all day, all day).
Man, that thing you got behind you is amazin'.
You make me want to take you out and let it rain (let it rain, let it rain, let it rain).
I know you got a man but this is what you should say...

[Chorus]
Why don't you tell him that I'm leavin' never to come back again...
You found somebody who does it better than he can,
No more making you cry,
No more them grey skies.
Girl we flyin' on the G5, G5.
And we're leavin' never looking back again...
So call your shawty and tell him you found a new man.
The one that's so, so fly...
The one to keep you high...
Have ya singin' all night like that...
(Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...)
Man she gonna be singing...
(Oh oh oh ohh oh oh ohh oh oh ohhh...)

Now if I talk it girl you know that I'ma walk it out (walk it out, walk it out, walk it out).
Man I put my money, money where my mouth is (mouth is, mouth is, mouth is).
Cuz you're the baddest little thing that I ever seen (ever seen, ever seen, ever seen).
So I'm gonna ask you one time if you got a man...

[Chorus]
Why don't you tell him that I'm leavin' never to come back again...
You found somebody who does it better than he can,
No more making you cry,
No more them grey skies.
Girl we flyin' on the G5, G5.
And we're leavin' never looking back again...
So call him shawty and tell him you found a new man.
The one that's so, so fly...
The one to keep you high...
Have ya singin' all night like that...
(Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh...)
Man, she gonna be singin'...
She gonna be singin' uhh...
She gonna be singin', She gonna be singin,
Boy you got me singin'.

[Bridge]
Don't stress, Don't Stress, Don't stress...
Just turn him to the left, left, left.
Don't stress, Don't Stress, Don't stress...
Cuz we gone, and we gone, and we gone.
No stress, No stress, No stress...
Girl you deserve nothing but the best.
No stress, No stress, No stress.

[Chorus]

Girl, you need to tell him that I'm leavin' never to come back again...
Gonna be singin' all night like that...
(Ahh ahh ah...)
Man, she gonna be singin'...
She gonna be singin' uhh...
She gonna be singin', She gonna be singin,
Boy you got me singin'.

Another recommendation for your listening pleasure, also one of my new favorites when I finally figured out what the song's title is =P (At first I thought it was "No Stress", lulz)

From the comments that I read for the video above in youtube, quite a number mentioned that it's kinda "dirty" due to the amount of sex appeal. @_@ Well, I think it's ok lar.. western style? haha.. the babe's hot! ^^

Do enjoy!~ Signin' off for now...

Stranger than Fiction?

Not too long ago, I've treated myself to a movie that is rather inspiring...

Stranger than Fiction (2006)

Had it in my pc for quite some time and finally had the time to watch it. Can't believe I had actually neglected such an interesting movie, silly me. Well in a nutshell, the movie's about a man named Harold Crick who realizes his life is being literary written as he woke up one fine day. As an auditor, being a compulsive counter and an obsessive time-saver had never been more interesting when he begins to hear someone narrating his life to him. The show goes on until the writer decides to end the novel (featuring a Harold Crick) by killing him. Rather difficult to put it in words how that's going to happen, so I recommend you watching the movie. =)

What caught my attention is how the writer finds inspiration in the movie. She's portrayed as a person who needs to feel and see what she's about to write about. For example, when she needed to kill Harold Crick in her novel, she went to different situations, different heights in such that she could feel/see how it would be like to jump off a tall building. She puts herself in the shoes of the character she is killing off and imagines it before judging if the cruel fate she's deciding for the character made any sense or had any impact. What could be better than a beautiful death?

It seems that writing a good story/novel is not all about sitting in front of a type writer or a piece of paper and just write what ever that comes to your mind that's related to the story. Feeling what the story describes, experiencing it first hand.. It all made sense. For instance, how could one describe the rain in detail if he had never tried feeling the rain falling on him, it's pressure, drenching himself in it, feel it trickle down his body, listening to the harmony of water falling from the sky.. I mean, wow, to what extent did great writers like J.R.R. Tolkien, Christopher Paolini, Jeffrey Archer, Dan Brown, etc.. ever go to tell their story with such depth I wonder. And the amount of credit that certain writers get seemed rather little despite the effort they put in their work.

I believe people these days are more absorbed into money making that they have been blinded to such amazement. Why do parents want their kids to be doctors, lawyers, engineers, dentists, businessmen, etc? Because they believe these are the kind of future that guarantees the cash coming in to support one's family/life. As the coming generations become more and more tied down to this sad fact, will the beauty of literature, art of poetry, masters of story-telling dwindle and eventually reach death due to ignorance as it doesn't make that much money? I'm certainly pained by this fact, more when I do not have the oppurtunity to pursue this field which seemed more meaningful to me.

Ah well, as an acquaintance of mine has once told me, you can't change anything by just saying it (or even writing about it for this matter). Actions speaks louder than words indeed. The journey I need to embark to be part of this love in the art of written works seems like fantasy (building castles in the air?) and rather unlikely when I'm done with my current studies for engineering. However, I do hope this would remind me what I've always wanted to do, and also plan to do (or at least always dreaming/thought of doing).. Wish me luck! =)

Now, back to more reading and watching (while being mesmerized/impressed in the process) like all of us do~

The Silver Hourglass (Prelude)

A long time ago in a place you'll never know...

There was a place called La Gaea, a land filled with lush greenery, cloudy blue skies, and peaceful air filled with the enticing chirps of wild birds (picture your version of a tropical paradise =D). The legend that lived among the inhabitants of this heavenly place are about six mythical creatures. Ordinarily, they are a gang of animals which consists of a monkey, a cat, an owl, a dog, a polar bear and an ant. Let us begin with a little introduction of these uncanny heroes..

This is Maybelle, the insomniac dog which is the Jill-of-all-trades in the gang. As the only female animal in the entourage, she's like an unpolished gem seeking for perfection in her life. Her passion for her duty as border guard of the land made her very responsible. Thus her motto was none other than.. "Duty calls!"

Next is Saru-man, the monkey that has always been the charming one. Attractive, gentle, care-free and a genius in disguise, he's the star of the gang despite being passively calm and modest at most times. Lavish as he may seem, he ironically tries to keep a low profile.

Wilneko, is the cheerful cat and a friend of all. With a sweet smile stuck to his face, he brings about joy where ever he goes and hardly has any reason not to talk or even frown. He keeps the gang lively with his daily mischief. One should not underestimate this cat as he's both a blessing and a menace if provoked.

Oshea , an owl whose intellect surpassed all beings and is so wise that he could appear human. A cool bird with a life filled with mystery, he excels in being sarcastic and occasionally becomes the Mr-know-it-all of the gang.

Shiraz the polar bear, being the largest animal among them is protective, inquisitive yet careless in making decisions. Even though he's the youngest male in the gang, he indirectly becomes the leader with much support from his fellow friends. Tough as steel as he may seem on the outside, his heart is as frail as glass. His potential would not have been unleashed if it wasn't for maintaining peace in the land.

What about this guy? Wait for it!!
Till next time, signing off for now~

College Kid

Macho? So what?

It's rather sad to face the fact that as we grow up, we need to be more independent. Seems that it applies even more to guys, being independent, able to live through hardships alone. I wonder why we are made that way.. or the better question would be, why do we (as guys) have to live that way? Is it a norm set by our ancestors? The significance of this rule baffles me..

Is it a MUST for guys to settle any problems by themselves?

This makes the dream of being a child again so tempting. Going back to high school again seems to be so fun right now compared to the time when I actually should be attending. When college seems like a luxury then, it's part hell now! So very the ironic, haha..

Ah, well as I'm used to this stick-to-friend thing, the days of college life ain't so fine and dandy anymore. And what shall I resort to.. (any advice?) Hm.. Check this out for those experiencing the same thing =)

How long can you hang on to a friend?

Anyways, today me and my beloved buddies went for a movie after a long hiatus of going-out-for-fun. Watched Flight of the Living Dead, a horror movie which managed to end up with us laughing as we left the cinema. It's funny how horror movies tend to fail in being scary these days. Or is it just us being old enough to be able to see through all that acting? Explains why our parents always think horror movies are crappy XD

The movie is not worth a review since I noticed a lot of "fake" stuff throughout the movie. At the very least it's not boring or a drag. All in all, a mild roller-coaster ride that wouldn't be fun without your friends around to laugh along with you =)

Hm.. I've been planning to do some "gotong-royong" to tidy up the garden in front of my second home. Sadly, I can't seem to get myself up to do it in the morning =(

Now I would like to pray it actually happens tomorrow! =P

The house has been quite lately, probably due to the exam stress since finals is in less than a month's time. Life is so much better if exams never existed. With no competition, studying wouldn't be a hassle I suppose.

"You wish!"
I'll have to remind myself about the rough reality that I'm living in.

So much for another post, nothing much inspiring me these days. Even nothing picture worthy! Pity.. KeLv signs off for now~

A little laugh for the day..

A cabbie picks up a Nun.

She gets into the cab, and notices that the very handsome cab driver
won't stop staring at her.

She asks him why he is staring.

'I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you,' says
the cabbie.

'My son, you cannot offend me,' says the Nun. 'When you're as old as I
am and have been a Nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and
hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could
say or ask that I would find offensive.'

'Well,' said the cabbie, 'I've always had a fantasy to have a Nun kiss
me.'

'Well, lets see what we can do about that,' the Nun replies. 'First,
you have to be single and, second, you must be Catholic.'

The cabbie is very excited and says, 'Yes, I'm single and Catholic!'

'Okay,' says the Nun. 'Pull into the next alley.'

The Nun fulfills his fantasy with a passionate kiss but, when they get
back on the road, the cabbie starts crying.

'My dear child,' says the Nun, 'why are you crying?'

'Forgive me, Sister, for I have sinned,' says the cabbie. 'I lied, and

I must confess that I'm married and I'm a Methodist.'

That's okay,' says the Nun. 'My name is Mark and I'm going to a
costume party.'

History Made, Lives Changed

FINALLY the post on the 1st Free Hugs Campaign in both UNITEN and my life is here! And to make things more simple and clean (hence the blog name), here's the video that pretty much sums up all that we have done throughout the 3 day campaign held all over the campus. Enjoy the following video! (and please do not hesitate to leave a comment =D)

The First Free Hugs Campaign in UNITEN!

Credit goes to my dear friend/housemate/group member, Eng Hong a.k.a Mr Panda (who happened to feature in the sneak preview posted long ago) for the amazing video and also this LINK for the collection of all the photos that we have taken during the entire campaign.

Well, since pictures speak a thousand words, I believe there's no need for elaboration after you have seen the video and also checked out the gallery of photos in the link above. All I can say is that it's been a great experience as I believed lives have been touched (I'm hoping for the best!) and I get to be part of the pioneers of this event in my campus.

Something that started out as a joke, turned out successfully despite all the ups and down we went through together as a group.. what is there not to be so proud of? Haha.. Not trying to boast here, but just want to encourage anyone to carry out this free hugs campaign in other places as it is really meaningful and a worthwhile experience. With plenty of free will, determination, enthusiasm and love, I choose to believe in the impossible =)

I would like to thank all my friends and group members who has been involved in this campaign together with me for all the cooperation and job well done! Love you guys and may we have more crazy-idea-turned-reality events in future! XD

Now I'm just praying that the coming presentation that me and my group is going to have this Friday is going to go smoothly and hopefully, we could convince our lecturer about our efforts as well. Would like to see this happen some where else, so that I can be the "customer" =P
Oh, it would also be interesting to see my juniors doing this in UNITEN again, huhu...

I guess that's all to it about this event that I've delayed so long to post. Hope you enjoy the video and the photos, God bless all of you out there and cheers to spreading the love!

This is KeLv signing off again~

And It's Another Crush

Due to the negative feedbacks I've gotten for the photos in my previous post, here's a music videos that I personally enjoy and would like to share =D

Crush- David Archuleta

I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time deep inside
It was a rush, what a rush

'Cause the possibility
That you would ever feel the same way about me
It's just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging, spending time girl, are we just friends?
Is there more, is there more?

See it's a chance we've gotta take
'Cause I believe that we can make this into something that will last
Last forever, forever

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
This crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

The song may sound kinda cheesy but I find it nice, in a way. The music video may not be that great (since I noticed David's appearance being too.. distracting), just appreciate the song!
And KeLv signs off while you do so~

P/S~> sien, changed the video so many times because youtube keeps removing the videos that i selected =(

Size Does Matter

Aren't they 'pwetty'? (Ew!!)

It rather baffles me why people, especially women, like to keep their fingernails long. Does it mean anything besides parading around with overgrown dead tissues on their hands? Are they just too lazy to trim it ("they" refer to those who started out this 'trend')? Or is it part of the style and glamor of having "beautiful" nails?

I myself find having long fingernails being a real hassle to life. Today itself was chaotic enough with them as..
- I hurt myself while trying to put my shoes on,
- had a hard time trying to sms since my handphone keypads are rather small,
- needed extra time getting my hands clean before and after meals,
- had my nails pressing on some other keys as I type out this post =.=

And here is..
ORBITUARY

The culprit(s)! (No, not the innocent monkey figurine =P)
?? August 2008 ~ 18 September 2008

The only reason I'm still stuck with them is that I do not own a nail clipper at my second home in Kajang. And when I'm home, there's always something else to distract me, so.. this post shall indirectly be the last record of my long nails, hoho.. Well, seriously.. men with long fingernails just ain't quite right. Look below!!

Hideous! (I used to see this on my high school men teachers -.-)

The popular long thumbnail, tsk tsk..

I'm not certain but long fingernails seem rather feminine to me. If you ask me for a positive description about them, I would say they portray elegance (and I'm being VERY positive here). So why? Please tell me the purpose. Convince me that this is OKAY. Or at least help me understand what they're trying to accomplish so I don't continue to stare at these people. This is a society! Note that I'm now referring to MEN keeping LONG FINGERNAILS. No offense to the males who like doing so tho.. just want a good reason =)

I wouldn't mind having long nails if they are these babies, hehe..

So much for a bad-fingernail-day.. Oh, I had my 2nd trip to FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia, for those who had been living under a rock.. http://www.frim.gov.my/) yesterday. It was quite fun with my housemates and a bunch of Techflow buddies, but not so much excitement as it's my 2nd time there.

We took off from our home at 5.55p.m and reaching at the rendezvous point at 6.10p.m, which was late as we were supposed to gather at 6p.m. However when we reached, we happened to be some of the earliest there as the other participants were following the "Malaysian time". Soon, everyone else arrived and followed by the bus by 6.30p.m.

I'm really surprised the bus was punctual, woots~

We took off in 15 minutes and I was in Shwe's car (she's the organizer) as she needed directions to the place since FRIM is located near my home at Kepong. The plan was to meet at a nearby shopping complex to have dinner, according to the bus driver. However when we (me, Shwe and a few others in the car) reached, the bus ended up at FRIM and the other participants had their dinner there. So as we reached there a little later, I was forced to finish my dinner in 5 minutes, sucks.. After that, we went in and had a little entourage visiting the toilet before going for an ice-breaking session called "Squirrel & Tree". While I was a "tree", Eng Hong a.k.a Mr. Panda-san was turned into a tall "squirrel". The session was quite funny, as sometimes the squirrels were ironically taller than the trees, lol..

After a short prayer, we were taken to the "entrance" of the forest and was linked to each other via a "rafia" string. Some had to put blindfolds on while others (like me) had to be "handcuffed". A total of 44 people train-ed into the forest and the nightwalk lasted an hour or so before we were released from our bonds. We took another two hours moving up and down the bumpy forest path while checking out neat stuff like glowing trees, fireflies and worms with glowing butts XD

The trip ended at around 1a.m. and we were stinking with sweat. I was rather dissapointed as we couldn't check out the canopy walk at night. The last time I came was during the day, so I had hopes of enjoying KL's night view from the top of the forest reserve. Too bad I suppose, but it was a great outing especially when the people you love are around you. Currently I do not have any pictures of the trip so do bear with me once again, huhu.. Will also go into more detail about all the stuff happening while we were traversing the forest =D

And after a long hiatus, these are back...

My secondary school (gay!) friend ^^

My 'masterpiece' that had to be 'sacrificed' for our Moral project, lulz..

I just noticed my posting on the 'kempen pelukan percuma' isn't here yet. Apparently I'm busy and at the same time lazy to type it all out now. So, wait wait wait, hoho.. I'll stop here since having a quiz tomorrow and plenty of tests to prepare for soon. Thus said, (Team Rocket blasts off again!) KeLv signs off again~
