History Made, Lives Changed

FINALLY the post on the 1st Free Hugs Campaign in both UNITEN and my life is here! And to make things more simple and clean (hence the blog name), here's the video that pretty much sums up all that we have done throughout the 3 day campaign held all over the campus. Enjoy the following video! (and please do not hesitate to leave a comment =D)

The First Free Hugs Campaign in UNITEN!

Credit goes to my dear friend/housemate/group member, Eng Hong a.k.a Mr Panda (who happened to feature in the sneak preview posted long ago) for the amazing video and also this LINK for the collection of all the photos that we have taken during the entire campaign.

Well, since pictures speak a thousand words, I believe there's no need for elaboration after you have seen the video and also checked out the gallery of photos in the link above. All I can say is that it's been a great experience as I believed lives have been touched (I'm hoping for the best!) and I get to be part of the pioneers of this event in my campus.

Something that started out as a joke, turned out successfully despite all the ups and down we went through together as a group.. what is there not to be so proud of? Haha.. Not trying to boast here, but just want to encourage anyone to carry out this free hugs campaign in other places as it is really meaningful and a worthwhile experience. With plenty of free will, determination, enthusiasm and love, I choose to believe in the impossible =)

I would like to thank all my friends and group members who has been involved in this campaign together with me for all the cooperation and job well done! Love you guys and may we have more crazy-idea-turned-reality events in future! XD

Now I'm just praying that the coming presentation that me and my group is going to have this Friday is going to go smoothly and hopefully, we could convince our lecturer about our efforts as well. Would like to see this happen some where else, so that I can be the "customer" =P
Oh, it would also be interesting to see my juniors doing this in UNITEN again, huhu...

I guess that's all to it about this event that I've delayed so long to post. Hope you enjoy the video and the photos, God bless all of you out there and cheers to spreading the love!

This is KeLv signing off again~

And It's Another Crush

Due to the negative feedbacks I've gotten for the photos in my previous post, here's a music videos that I personally enjoy and would like to share =D

Crush- David Archuleta

I hung up the phone tonight
Something happened for the first time deep inside
It was a rush, what a rush

'Cause the possibility
That you would ever feel the same way about me
It's just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Has it ever crossed your mind
When we're hanging, spending time girl, are we just friends?
Is there more, is there more?

See it's a chance we've gotta take
'Cause I believe that we can make this into something that will last
Last forever, forever

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

Why do I keep running from the truth?
All I ever think about is you
You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized
And I've just got to know

Do you ever think when you're all alone
All that we can be, where this thing can go?
Am I crazy or falling in love?
Is it real or just another crush?

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
'Cause I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
This crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy

The song may sound kinda cheesy but I find it nice, in a way. The music video may not be that great (since I noticed David's appearance being too.. distracting), just appreciate the song!
And KeLv signs off while you do so~

P/S~> sien, changed the video so many times because youtube keeps removing the videos that i selected =(

Size Does Matter

Aren't they 'pwetty'? (Ew!!)

It rather baffles me why people, especially women, like to keep their fingernails long. Does it mean anything besides parading around with overgrown dead tissues on their hands? Are they just too lazy to trim it ("they" refer to those who started out this 'trend')? Or is it part of the style and glamor of having "beautiful" nails?

I myself find having long fingernails being a real hassle to life. Today itself was chaotic enough with them as..
- I hurt myself while trying to put my shoes on,
- had a hard time trying to sms since my handphone keypads are rather small,
- needed extra time getting my hands clean before and after meals,
- had my nails pressing on some other keys as I type out this post =.=

And here is..
ORBITUARY

The culprit(s)! (No, not the innocent monkey figurine =P)
?? August 2008 ~ 18 September 2008

The only reason I'm still stuck with them is that I do not own a nail clipper at my second home in Kajang. And when I'm home, there's always something else to distract me, so.. this post shall indirectly be the last record of my long nails, hoho.. Well, seriously.. men with long fingernails just ain't quite right. Look below!!

Hideous! (I used to see this on my high school men teachers -.-)

The popular long thumbnail, tsk tsk..

I'm not certain but long fingernails seem rather feminine to me. If you ask me for a positive description about them, I would say they portray elegance (and I'm being VERY positive here). So why? Please tell me the purpose. Convince me that this is OKAY. Or at least help me understand what they're trying to accomplish so I don't continue to stare at these people. This is a society! Note that I'm now referring to MEN keeping LONG FINGERNAILS. No offense to the males who like doing so tho.. just want a good reason =)

I wouldn't mind having long nails if they are these babies, hehe..

So much for a bad-fingernail-day.. Oh, I had my 2nd trip to FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia, for those who had been living under a rock.. http://www.frim.gov.my/) yesterday. It was quite fun with my housemates and a bunch of Techflow buddies, but not so much excitement as it's my 2nd time there.

We took off from our home at 5.55p.m and reaching at the rendezvous point at 6.10p.m, which was late as we were supposed to gather at 6p.m. However when we reached, we happened to be some of the earliest there as the other participants were following the "Malaysian time". Soon, everyone else arrived and followed by the bus by 6.30p.m.

I'm really surprised the bus was punctual, woots~

We took off in 15 minutes and I was in Shwe's car (she's the organizer) as she needed directions to the place since FRIM is located near my home at Kepong. The plan was to meet at a nearby shopping complex to have dinner, according to the bus driver. However when we (me, Shwe and a few others in the car) reached, the bus ended up at FRIM and the other participants had their dinner there. So as we reached there a little later, I was forced to finish my dinner in 5 minutes, sucks.. After that, we went in and had a little entourage visiting the toilet before going for an ice-breaking session called "Squirrel & Tree". While I was a "tree", Eng Hong a.k.a Mr. Panda-san was turned into a tall "squirrel". The session was quite funny, as sometimes the squirrels were ironically taller than the trees, lol..

After a short prayer, we were taken to the "entrance" of the forest and was linked to each other via a "rafia" string. Some had to put blindfolds on while others (like me) had to be "handcuffed". A total of 44 people train-ed into the forest and the nightwalk lasted an hour or so before we were released from our bonds. We took another two hours moving up and down the bumpy forest path while checking out neat stuff like glowing trees, fireflies and worms with glowing butts XD

The trip ended at around 1a.m. and we were stinking with sweat. I was rather dissapointed as we couldn't check out the canopy walk at night. The last time I came was during the day, so I had hopes of enjoying KL's night view from the top of the forest reserve. Too bad I suppose, but it was a great outing especially when the people you love are around you. Currently I do not have any pictures of the trip so do bear with me once again, huhu.. Will also go into more detail about all the stuff happening while we were traversing the forest =D

And after a long hiatus, these are back...

My 'masterpiece' that had to be 'sacrificed' for our Moral project, lulz..

I just noticed my posting on the 'kempen pelukan percuma' isn't here yet. Apparently I'm busy and at the same time lazy to type it all out now. So, wait wait wait, hoho.. I'll stop here since having a quiz tomorrow and plenty of tests to prepare for soon. Thus said, (Team Rocket blasts off again!) KeLv signs off again~

And it's still HOT!!

Ah, it's Thursday! The weather may be toasty but it is the day when I have the least amount of classes, and today particularly became a better day when my morning class was canceled and the day's class started at 1p.m. Huhu.. Anyways, had a nice home-movie session just now, thanks to Jo as she passed me the highly anticipated movie to me conveniently via her thumbdrive. And behold what kept me waiting for almost a year..

Bleach the Movie: The DiamondDust Rebellion, Another Hyōrinmaru (劇場版BLEACH The DiamondDust Rebellion もう一つの氷輪丸 Gekijōban Burīchi Za Daiyamondo Dasuto Reberion Mō Hitotsu no Hyōrinmaru)

Yes, it's finally subbed! And it was definitely worth the wait since I rate the movie to be as good as Memories of Nobody, maybe even better. But I guess even though this movie lacks new characters, it is still equally good compared to the first movie due to it's interesting new plot in the Bleach storyline. Here's more pics of what you can expect.. (SPOILERS ALERT!)

The Gotei 13 (護廷十三隊 goteijūsantai) and Ichigo unites to stop chaos once again! (yes, cheesy indeed.. =P)

Oh, oh! New arrancars? Vaizards? Hm..

Snippets of the movie, which makes a good wallpaper! =D

And so, after the "drought of good movies" that I had faced for months (which cost me a lot since I had been watching lots of rubbish in the cinemas lately), this movies just made my day, lulz..

Nicely drawn characters, lush color, careful plots and action-packed-not-too-predictable climax! Really, what else can you ask for.. But of course I may be judging from a Bleach fan's point of view, still it doesn't mean I rate all of Bleach's production to be good. For instance, Memories in the Rain, despite being only an OVA, was crappy and really sucked big time in my honest opinion as it was so draggy and involved too much flashbacks. The Sealed Sword Frenzy was okay I guess, so.. yea overall I'm not being biased just because it's a Bleach movie =)

As a bonus, here's what I came across as I googled for the pictures above..

A little creativity and imagination gives you a good depiction of what happens if Ichigo turns evil and Bleach world faces total destruction ^^

Last but not least, here's another great news as the trailer for the next Bleach movie is out! Though it's not much but at least we can expect something coming our way!

Bleach the Movie: Fade to Black (coming soon!)

Woots, I believe that's enough Bleach for me at the moment. Will try to update on any info on it that I may stumble upon as I surf around.

Apparently, the only thing that is spoiling my mood now is the crazy weather. It's really hot even at night! Come on, the sun is not even UP! Sigh, either that or the rain pours as if the whole town's going to be flooded! @@

Oh well, what can an insignificant human like me do? Ponder, I shall.. Till then, KeLv signs off again~

When Innocence Gets Corrupted

Thanks to Loreki for the video link, when I first watched it, I can really ROFL and LMAO eventhough I was stressing some other thing (some assignment which I don't bother thinking about it anymore..)

Please do enjoy the videos below...

DeathSponge NotePants!

The credit of the following video goes to Jeremy Loh! (thanks for the amazing discovery! XD)

The Indian Nipple Song! [(U):For viewers of all ages/Untuk tontonan umum, sesuai untuk semua lapisan masyarakat]

And also a big thank you to YouTube and the makers of the video for the great Laugh-Out-Loud session (that I'm sure you're going to have after watching the videos)
If somehow you can't even let out a giggle from the videos above, you seriously need a doctor!

Thus, KeLv continues his "signing off"~

I'm in Love!

So sorry for the late update, the lazy bug had me "rotting" for the past few days that I've gotten too lazy to think and write. But anyways here I am again without the post for the "Free Hugs Campaign" that I did in campus last week. Gomenasai~ Oh well, the longer the wait, the better the product =) So please bear with me at the moment..

And yes I'm in love! With...

Nami Tamaki! (She's SO my type, woots~)

She's hot, hot, hot!!

Alright that was crap. I've honestly been "emo" for the past few days that I don't seem to think straight. Especially today, I had this weird feeling of just shouting out loud, as if something inside me is raging wild! RAWR!! (okay, I'm being literal here so it's not the hormones or whatever you think it is)

Worst of all it isn't the first time this is happening.. Been living with it, yet there's just no getting used to. Haiz, but to cope I've been doing stuff like taking a shower at anytime at all (try 2 or 3 in the morning =P), reading random stuff online (not porn material la!), taking pictures and ponder upon it.. Check these out..

Taken by me sometime ago.. Yea, it may only look like coins.. but to me, I think about the different sides of life that I go through right now. The decisions I make and so forth...

The wrath of nature (or wrath of God? =P) Weather's been really crazy lately, doesn't it make you worry what our world is becoming? Will crazy phenomenons like the ones in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" ever come true? By the way, this is a great shot by one of my friend using a Sony Ericsson K800i ^^

It's been so long since I last seen a rainbow that it really cheers me up to see this one during my dinner yesterday.. Ah, where does a rainbow end~

This is one of my favorite pictures, which really reminds one's faith and the power of believing in Him throughout our daily lives...

This is me, once upon a time, during work for a project at Maybank.. I'm surrounded by credit card machines! XP *editted by my colleague who happened to be toying with my phone*

Hm.. All these pictures may not be relative to each other, but looking through them inspires me in a way that takes me off things that are some how troubling me. Life's more than being stressed out, burdened by work/studies, worrying if you did enough as who you are.. I guess it's just how I encourage myself.

If you want to know how i felt, then imagine being very close to the person that you really admire/like/love (this word is very strong, so it's just an implication), but you can't be with him or her. He or she will never be yours. The agony! Argh.. Okay, I'm being general (referring to the "he" and "she") here, so don't go misunderstanding k..

Yea, so maybe I'm in love, maybe I'm not. The point is when I record this down and one day I look back, I can laugh at myself, haha... In fact, it already happened before when i re-read the previous blogs I had before deleting them and found me being very silly/foolish. Lessons are taken from them, so why not post these rubbish that are clotting my mind as well?

So far my days in the week hasn't been too rough if it wasn't for the havoc of emotions. I noticed that this month is FILLED with birthdays, so I'm going to have to prepare myself for all of them since once of the best joys in life is to see another person happy =D

Money~ Money~ Money~ It's not so funny~ In a student's world~

That's all I can pour out from my mind right now. It's so late and I've got to drive later for class at 10 a.m. Therefore, KeLv shall sign off now~

Happy Birthday JoJo!

Here's a special post to commemorate my dear friend's birthday. A very happy birthday to Miss Yim Jo Ann! Welcome to the world of the 20-year-olds, hehe.. God bless you always!

Here's the joyful birthday girl with her share of cake from us and the thoughtful Pizza Hut in Alamanda! =) (check out the extra topping by Willz!)

And another shot to wrap up the celebration!

May all your wishes come true and prosperity be with you always. Take care and enjoy my friend! KeLv signing off again~

P/S: Sorry if we accidentally tortured you when we wanted you to finish those cakes by yourself =P

When a Movie Deserves a Big "Wtf.."

Today is one of the days when I woke up ultra-early in the morning, thanks to my dear gastric problem which gave me the ache enough to drive me crazy. Ah well, now that it has settled down I wish it would stay that way, huhu..

Anyways, me and my mates caught a movie today as we went out shopping since it's a lovely holiday due to the National Day (which somehow made no impact at all) falling on the weekend. We were anticipating the movie since it sounded so cool and I managed to get really good seats from the convenient reservation service offered by TGV =)

When I was checking out the movie online, I came across it's uber-cool site, http://www.babylonadmovie.com/ Seriously, do check it out! Before I continue, here's what we watched..

Man, even the poster is so cool!

Ain't it all fine and dandy? Well that's part of the bad things about this movie. It gives you so much expectation that when it turned out bad, it really feels that your rm10 spent on this money just burned away!

Well, yea here we have stars like..

Vin Diesel as the main!

Michelle Yeoh! (yea, this is her years ago =P)

Mélanie Thierry! (someone I'm not familiar with, but she really fits her role)

So you see, everything seems so nice but the storyline just screws up everything. In the movie, what we understand is there's a lot of action and..

In the near future, Toorop (Vin Diesel) is a mercenary who takes the job of escorting a woman named Aurora from Central Asia to New York. While he thinks this is just an ordinary mission, he gradually finds out that his guest is carrying twins that have the potential to become the next Messiahs — and everybody wants to get their hands on them. - Wikipedia

But as we reach the conclusion of the show, NOTHING makes any sense because the movie doesn't give you any answers. Just more and more questions popping up in your head after you watch the movie. In a nutshell, the movie's just a bunch of stunts, action and thrill all mixed up like "rojak" without any proper meaning. Like empty talk or junk food!
Haiz, I should have listened to my brother's for once that the movie sucks. I guess it's a lesson learned then. My advice: avoid watching this movie unless you're desperately bored and it's free!

So much for a review, I can't say no more since I'm just too dissapointed T.T

A Week of Ups & Downs..

Finally I'm able to update my blog. Some kind of gastric I had that slight symptoms (pains below my chest and inability to digest anything but bread, milo and non-oily, non-spicy, non-sour, non-.... food) are still torturing me right now. It's been 5 days!! Urgh.. what could I blame.. T.T

So to catch up on where I left out, last week me and my friends which are also my group members for my Moral subject had carried out a FREE HUGS CAMPAIGN. Yup, sounds familiar (despite the spoilers) as you can spot this campaign being held elsewhere around Earth. It actually started in Australia and pioneered by... Read more over here --> http://www.free-hugs.com/ and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Hugs_Campaign .

Planning this.. no, actually suggesting this project itself is miraculous as it was actually a joke by our dear Eng Hong who later brilliantly found out that this free-hugs-campaign is possible! After going through the bunches of videos in youtube (in which inspired us so much that we began to bug our leader Willz about it), the plans began to be carried out. After a gruelling 3 weeks of preparation, we finally had our first FREE HUGS CAMPAIGN in UNITEN which lasted from 26/8/08~28/8/08. As a 3 day event, it was certainly meaningful despite us looking like total weirdos in the beginning. Many lifes were hopefully touched =P

Unfortunately, since I'm currently at home without any access to my hardisk (due to my faulty pc which, no matter what I do, refuses to read the hardisk's contents) and again do not have my resources a.k.a pictures and photos.. I'll continue with the little discoveries I made along the way since I was away (from here, duh..).

It was on the Wednesday evening when we completed our 2nd day of the free hugs event (oh, the memories~) and wrapped up class around 6. We (Me, Eng Hong and Adrian, who happen to be housemates and car-pooling mates) decided to look for the pc store that Eng Hong has been telling me about to get his speakers. Off we went to Kajang town, and it was raining! Rain, rain, rain.. and soon we have a literary flooding town. To make matters worse, the traffic began to become heavy and people/drivers around became ridiculously brainless as they create more havoc trying to overtake each other in a jam. Oh, joy..

Worst of all, when we were so close to our destination, horror struck us as water reaching high enough to cover a Proton Wira's entire tyre made us turn back. Daym, so much for being patient for almost an hour. As we turned back, I noticed how horribly bad Kajang town's draining system were. Check this out...

Holy cow! Water flowing out of the sewer?? More like being literrary pumped out!

A clearer picture of what I'm stupidly surprised about..

Luckily, the floods were only serious at certain parts of the town our housing area was spared. There's a huge drain in front of our house, and I was saying, "What if the drain is flooded as well?". Adrian replied as if it was a dumb question, "Then the whole Kajang town would be underwater!". Woots, i wonder if that would ever happen considering how crazy the weather can be these days. So, we arrived safely home but decided to get dinner first. That's when things get weirder for the day. I went to get breakfast, and conveniently found a packet of ready-to-eat RED BEAN BUN at a nearby mini-market. It's been long since I last ate one, so when I reached home.. And it was 2 hours after dinner, my mouth felt itchy and decided to snack on a piece of the 6-parted bread. That's when horror struck me again!!

Since when RED bean is WHITE??

At first I thought the bread became bad since the red bean wasn't red anymore. But when I took a better taste of it, lo! IT WAS COCONUT FLAVOUR! I was like !@#$@#!$!@ at whoever's responsible for this faulty packaging, since it's my 1st encounter of this stupid mix up and it totally spoiled my appetite. I want my red bean bun!! T.T

What awaits me tomorrow was worse as I had gastric which lasted till today and... well, in a nutshell I didn't have a good half of the week but I guess all of us have our bad times right? (trying so hard to look at the bright side of things, sigh..)

Oh, and we had Moral test on the Friday before I came home. I managed to crap properly and later found out a heck load of other people cheated, daym.. but anyhow we did have last minute studies during lunch on that day (minutes before the exam, gasp!) and this is how desperate students can be...

No pun intended for who's "modeling" for this picture =P

Had a so-so weekend as a conclusion. And not to forget...

This is actually a candid picture depicting our "serious" group discussion our Moral project..
Notice what's so funny about this picture?? LoL

Our very own Mr. Panda showing his true nature as he unites with a bamboo-resemblance-steel-pipe! XD Aw.. kawaii!! bwahahaha...

That's all from me now. Next post is SO going to be about the free hugs campaign. I shall delay no more!! Thus said, this is KeLv signing off again~
